About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and innovative Project Manager to drive process improvement initiatives within their manufacturing operations in Vereeniging . This role is critical for enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving the quality of production through the implementation of new technologies and optimized workflows. You will work closely with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to identify opportunities, develop project plans, and ensure successful implementation of changes.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the modernization of manufacturing processes and drive significant operational gains in the Gauteng region, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects focused on manufacturing process improvement and optimization.
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for enhancement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Develop detailed project plans , including timelines, resource requirements, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, supply chain, and IT, to implement process changes effectively.
- Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
- Track project progress and measure the impact of implemented changes against established objectives, reporting findings to management.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on manufacturing process improvement or operations management.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certifications are highly valued. - Proven experience in implementing process improvements, lean manufacturing techniques, and operational excellence programs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex operational data and identify actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools for planning and tracking initiatives.
