Multiselect Next is looking for process operators for a client called Teijin Aramid in the Netherlands. Since the job is in the Netherlands candidates must learn Dutch, since Afrikaans is close to Dutch we are looking for talent that speaks fluent Afrikaans.

Teijin Aramid is an international producer of aramid fibres. Its best-known brand is Twaron®. The company has several locations in the Netherlands. In Delfzijl, the chemical raw materials and aramid polymer are produced. This material is then transported to Emmen, where it is turned into strong fibres and yarns.

Twaron is lightweight, heat-resistant and, relative to its weight, approximately five times stronger than steel. This is why it is used in products that need to be strong, safe and durable, such as:

• Bulletproof vests and helmets
• Car tyres and timing belts
• Lifting cables and offshore applications
• Aviation and composites
• Fibre-optic cables and energy solutions
• Protective and industrial applications

What do you do as a process operator?

You work in a 5-shift system and, together with your team, are responsible for keeping the production process safe and running smoothly. You work both from the control room using the DCS system and out in the plant.

Your main responsibilities

• You monitor temperatures, pressures, reactors, pumps and other process equipment.
• You carry out inspection rounds in the plant and take samples.
• You perform process checks and analyses and monitor trends.
• You resolve process disruptions and investigate what caused them.
• You start and stop installations and make them safe for maintenance.
• You work closely with maintenance and other technical departments.
• You help make processes safer, better and more efficient.
• You report important information during the handover to the next shift.
