Production Manager - Wetmill

Key Responsibilities Operational Management

• Lead and manage daily Wetmill production activities to achieve production targets.
• Monitor and optimize wet milling processes to maximize starch extraction and process efficiency.
• Ensure plant capacity utilization and throughput targets are achieved.
• Minimize downtime through effective planning, monitoring, and problem-solving.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture within the department.
• Ensure compliance with SHER requirements, HACCP, HAZOP, and ISO standards.
• Maintain product quality standards and ensure adherence to manufacturing specifications.
• Drive environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure all operational activities comply with company policies and legislative requirements.

• Manage production costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Monitor energy consumption, waste reduction, and resource utilization.
• Drive efficiencies to improve overall plant profitability.

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing production team.
• Manage employee performance and ensure accountability for results.
• Facilitate employee training, development, and succession planning.
• Build an engaged workforce focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Foster positive employee relations and teamwork across shifts and functions.

• Identify opportunities to improve process capability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence projects.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance plant performance.
• Support strategic projects aimed at improving manufacturing standards and business outcomes.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, SHER, Finance, HR, Technical Services, and other departments to achieve business objectives.
• Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers to ensure service excellence.
• Support cross-functional initiatives that improve overall business performance.
