About the Role
An industry-leading company in Benoni is actively seeking a dedicated Lean Engineer to spearhead its lean transformation initiatives. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, eliminating waste, and optimizing all facets of production and operations. You will leverage your expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall competitiveness for the organization within the Gauteng region.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the identification, analysis, and elimination of waste (muda) in all operational processes.
- Implement and manage Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, VSM, and Poka-Yoke.
- Facilitate cross-functional Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lean initiatives.
- Train and coach employees at all levels on Lean principles and practices.
- Support the integration of Lean methodologies with other improvement frameworks like Six Sigma.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience focused on Lean Manufacturing implementation.
- Proven track record of successful waste reduction and process optimization projects.
- Certification or demonstrable expertise in Lean methodologies is essential.
- Strong facilitation, training, and change management skills.
