About the Role

Our client in Benoni is offering an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals to train as Apprentice Fitters and Turners . This program will equip you with the skills to manufacture, assemble, install, and maintain machinery and equipment. You will learn to operate machine tools like lathes and milling machines, as well as perform fitting tasks, under the supervision of skilled artisans.

This role is ideal for those with a mechanical aptitude and a desire for a stable, hands-on career in manufacturing and engineering within the Gauteng area.

• Assist skilled fitters and turners in the manufacturing and assembly of machine parts.
• Learn to operate and maintain machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Develop skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform fitting tasks, including assembling, aligning, and adjusting machinery.
• Participate in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and workshop regulations diligently.

• A strong interest in mechanical engineering and hands-on work.
• Good spatial reasoning and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand technical instructions and drawings.
• Physical fitness and willingness to perform manual tasks.
• Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to completing the apprenticeship in Benoni .
• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science is preferred.
