Pressings Department Foreman

The Opportunity

You will lead a team of Supervisors, Tool Setters, and Press Operators while ensuring production efficiency, quality compliance, equipment reliability, and safe operations across the department. The role offers the opportunity to influence manufacturing performance while contributing to ongoing quality improvement initiatives and advanced automotive industry standards.

• Lead, mentor, and develop production teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interpret and apply technical and engineering drawings to manufacturing processes.
• Ensure products meet dimensional, tolerance, and quality specifications.
• Manage daily production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
• Improve machine utilization and operational efficiency.
• Oversee press operations across a wide range of equipment and production processes.
• Maintain compliance with quality management and environmental standards.
• Support documentation and process requirements associated with automotive manufacturing environments.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements across the department.

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
• Supervisory, team leader, or foreman training advantageous.
• 5 to 8 years' experience within a metal pressings or stamping environment.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in a supervisory or foreman capacity.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions, and GD&T specifications.
• Extensive knowledge of metal pressing operations and associated equipment.
• Experience with production planning, scheduling, and capacity management.
• Working knowledge of ISO quality systems.
• Exposure to automotive manufacturing environments will be highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
