About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Welding Supervisor to lead their fabrication team in Benoni . You will oversee all welding operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This leadership role involves guiding skilled welders, implementing best practices, and ensuring adherence to project specifications. Based in Gauteng , you will be instrumental in the successful execution of complex fabrication projects.

• Supervise and manage a team of welders and fabricators, providing technical guidance and support.
• Ensure all welding activities are performed according to approved procedures, standards (e.g., ISO, AWS), and drawings.
• Monitor weld quality, conduct inspections, and oversee non-destructive testing (NDT) as required.
• Implement and enforce stringent health and safety protocols on the shop floor.
• Manage welding consumables, equipment, and inventory to ensure operational readiness.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior welders, fostering skill development.

• Proven experience as a Welding Supervisor or in a senior welding role.
• Certification from a recognized welding institute (e.g., Red Seal Welder).
• Thorough knowledge of various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and materials.
• Strong understanding of welding codes, standards, and inspection techniques.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
