Our client, a prominent fabrication and construction company in Vereeniging , is seeking a highly skilled Senior Welder to join their expanding operations. This role requires expertise in various welding techniques for structural steel fabrication, ensuring the integrity and quality of critical components for industrial projects. You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, performing high-quality welds, and ensuring adherence to strict safety and quality control standards.

• Perform advanced welding operations on structural steel components using techniques such as SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW .
• Read and interpret structural fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications accurately.
• Ensure all welds meet specified quality standards, strength requirements, and are free from defects.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment safely and efficiently, including grinders and other fabrication tools.
• Conduct self-inspections and collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure compliance.
• Adhere strictly to all Health and Safety regulations and company procedures on the shop floor.

• Proven experience as a Senior Welder with a focus on structural steel fabrication.
• Proficiency in multiple welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW) and the ability to weld various metals.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of metallurgy and the properties of different welding consumables.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Relevant welding certifications (e.g., red seal, specific code qualifications) are highly advantageous for this role in Vereeniging .
