About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Automotive Painter to join their established service center in Vereeniging . This critical on-site role involves preparing vehicle surfaces and applying paint finishes to restore vehicles to their original condition or to achieve custom aesthetic goals. You will work with a variety of paint systems and techniques, ensuring high-quality, durable, and visually appealing results.

The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for color matching, a meticulous approach to surface preparation, and a commitment to safety and environmental standards within the painting process. This position is fundamental to the final stage of vehicle repair and refurbishment.

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
• Mix paint to match existing colors accurately, utilizing color matching systems and formulas.
• Apply paint using spray guns, ensuring even coats and a flawless finish.
• Perform touch-ups and blend paint to seamlessly integrate repairs with original finishes.
• Maintain and clean painting equipment and the spray booth to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and environmental guidelines for paint usage and disposal.

• Proven experience as an Automotive Painter or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of different paint types, application techniques, and color matching principles.
• Proficiency in using automotive spray equipment and related tools.
• Experience with surface preparation, including sanding, filling, and priming.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing a high‑quality finish.
• Ability to work efficiently in a workshop environment and manage time effectively.
