Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to support and optimize production processes at their facility in Klerksdorp . This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency, quality, and safety of manufacturing operations through sound mechanical engineering principles. You will be involved in troubleshooting production line issues, implementing process improvements, and overseeing the maintenance and upgrade of manufacturing equipment.

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
• Develop and implement modifications to machinery and equipment to enhance performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and equipment downtime, implementing corrective actions promptly.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs for production machinery.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth operation and address technical challenges.
• Contribute to the design and installation of new production lines or equipment.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.
• Strong understanding of industrial machinery , process improvement techniques (Lean, Six Sigma), and maintenance strategies.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with CAD software for minor modifications is a plus.
