Manufacturing Engineer - Process Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Process Optimization to join their team in Klerksdorp . This hybrid role involves working on-site to collaborate with production teams and remotely for analysis and reporting. You will play a vital role in streamlining manufacturing operations, enhancing productivity, and ensuring the highest quality standards. Your expertise in analyzing complex systems and implementing effective engineering solutions will be key to driving efficiency and cost savings across the plant.

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement solutions using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Design and optimize production layouts and workflows for maximum efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with production staff, quality control, and management to implement and sustain process improvements.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs and control plans.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports on manufacturing performance and project outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering , Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role with a focus on process optimization.
• Proven knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and tools (e.g., VSM, Kaizen, 5S).
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, with strong on-site and remote collaboration skills.
