About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Welder to join their fabrication and repair team in Benoni . This position is crucial for constructing, maintaining, and repairing various metal structures and components used in industrial applications. You will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations using different techniques and materials, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to specifications. This role is perfect for a certified welder who takes pride in their craft, possesses excellent attention to detail, and is committed to producing durable and reliable work within a workshop environment in Gauteng.
Key Responsibilities- Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG , TIG, and Stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and other metals.
- Fabricate metal components and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Repair damaged or worn metal parts and equipment, ensuring structural soundness and proper fit.
- Inspect welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to standards, making necessary corrections.
- Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and cutting.
- Operate metalworking tools and machinery, including grinders, cutters, and drills.
- Certified Welder with proven experience in industrial fabrication and repair.
- Proficiency in multiple welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) and familiarity with various welding codes.
- Ability to read and interpret welding symbols , blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Experience working with different types of metals, including carbon steel and stainless steel.
- Strong understanding of weld quality, metallurgy, and safety procedures related to welding.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
