About the Role
Our client seeks a strategic and results-driven Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead their production facility in Welkom . This senior role involves overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process, from planning and resource allocation to execution and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for achieving production targets, managing budgets, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
The successful candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence in a complex manufacturing setting.
- Develop and execute strategic operational plans to meet production goals and business objectives.
- Manage departmental budgets, optimize resource allocation, and control operational costs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors and staff to foster a high-performance culture.
- Implement and champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement data-driven strategies for performance enhancement.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Significant experience (8+ years) in manufacturing management, with a proven track record of success.
- In-depth knowledge of production planning, supply chain management, and lean manufacturing techniques.
- Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Experience managing budgets and P&L responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
