Production Manager, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations
Minimum requirements:
Matric Any additional tertiary qualifications will be advantageous 8 Years of manufacturing and factory management experience Proven experience managing Department Managers or Production Managers Knowledge of production planning, stock control, waste reduction and quality management Understanding of maintenance and labour productivity Experience working with KPIs and corrective actions Computer literacy Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen will be advantageous Valid drivers license plus own reliable vehicle
Key Responsibilities:Take full operational control of the factory and establish clear priorities Ensure all departments work together to achieve production plans and customer requirements Conduct regular factory-floor inspections and address safety, quality and efficiency issues Manage Department Managers through targets, KPIs, accountability and consistent follow-up Monitor production output, waste, stock control, efficiency and downtime Ensure quality standards are maintained and corrective actions are implemented Manage staffing, labour, discipline, training and team development Ensure health and safety, housekeeping and 5S standards are maintained
