Lean Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Lean Manufacturing Engineer to join their progressive production facility in Vereeniging . This role is critical for driving the adoption and sustained implementation of lean principles throughout the manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for identifying waste, improving process flow, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of lean tools and techniques and a proven ability to lead change initiatives in a manufacturing setting.

• Lead and facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives, including Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen events, and Kanban systems.
• Analyze production processes to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities and waste.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve workflow, reduce lead times, and enhance product quality.
• Train and coach employees at all levels on lean principles and best practices.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lean implementation and operational efficiency.
• Support the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in various lean tools such as VSM, 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and Andon systems.
• Proven ability to lead and facilitate Kaizen events and improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operational excellence principles.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills.
