Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes and drive efficiency within their facility in Nelspruit. This role is critical for improving manufacturing operations, implementing new technologies, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with production teams, quality assurance, and engineering departments to achieve operational excellence. This is a challenging yet rewarding position for an experienced engineer looking to make a significant impact on manufacturing output and product quality.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Develop and implement new manufacturing procedures, tooling, and equipment to support product introductions and production scaling.
- Lead process validation activities and ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and safety protocols relevant to the Nelspruit facility.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a proven track record of process improvement.
- Strong knowledge of various manufacturing techniques, including machining, casting, injection molding, and assembly automation.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC ) and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
