Machine Minder - Rainbow Chicken

To maintain and operate processing line machinery to ensure optimum production and to maintain the condition of machines.

• Efficient day to day running and operating of equipment.
• Safety inspection and reporting.
• Start up and shutdown of lines.
• Efficiently get equipment up and running during a breakdown.
• Maintain the status of equipment through effective service and repair.
• Good housekeeping and familiar with health & safety and hygiene.
• Administration of OHS Act requirements.
• Ensure adherence to all ISO 9001 and 22000 standards and procedures.
• Be part of high-performance team.
• Cleaning of machinery.

• Grade 12 preferably with Mathematics and Science.
• A minimum of N2 Technical qualification in Electrical /Mechanical Engineering/Instrumentation with practical experience would be an advantage.
• Trade test (Electrical / Mechanical/ Instrumentation) would be advantageous.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a production or mechanical environment.
• Experience in Electrical / Mechanical / Scales would be an advantage.
• Strong Mechanical / Electrical / Scales aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Willingness to work shifts, and overtime when required.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Dedicated Line Attendance to Ensure Smooth Production
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Physically fit and able to work in adverse conditions.
• Code 8 driver’s license would be an advantage.
