Industrial Plant Supervisor

Our client, a well-established industrial manufacturing company in Vereeniging, Gauteng , is looking for a skilled and motivated Industrial Plant Supervisor to join their operations team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily plant activities, ensuring smooth production flow, and managing a team of plant operators and technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial processes, a commitment to safety, and the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve production targets.

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of plant operations staff, ensuring adherence to production schedules.
• Monitor plant operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
• Provide guidance and support to plant operators, troubleshooting issues and ensuring proper operation of equipment.
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, conducting safety checks and promoting a safe working environment.
• Train new employees on plant operations, safety procedures, and equipment usage.
• Maintain production logs, performance records, and inventory of supplies.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is in good working order and to schedule necessary repairs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the plant operations.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the plant floor.
• Report on plant performance, issues, and achievements to the Production Manager.

• Matriculation certificate or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in an industrial plant or manufacturing environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of industrial machinery, processes, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and production schedules.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issues.
• Basic computer literacy, including experience with reporting tools.
