Our client in the international e-commerce retail industry is seeking an experienced E-commerce Manager to join their team based in Green Point, Cape Town.
This is a permanent, office-based position where the successful candidate will take full ownership of the end-to-end e-commerce operation, driving online revenue growth, conversion optimisation and overall digital trading performance.
Location: Green Point, Cape Town (On-site)
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in an e-commerce, digital trading or online retail management role
- Proven track record of driving online revenue growth and improving conversion rates
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing e-commerce P&L
- Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms and CMS systems (Shopify Plus advantageous)
- Solid understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, paid media, email marketing, affiliates)
- Experience with conversion rate optimisation (CRO), AOV growth and customer lifetime value strategies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and performance metrics
- Experience managing or leading a team
- Experience with international or multi-currency e-commerce sites (advantageous)
- Knowledge of CRM, personalisation and marketing automation tools (advantageous)
- Own and manage the e-commerce P&L, revenue targets and digital trading calendar
- Drive revenue growth through optimisation of conversion rate, AOV and customer lifetime value
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns, product launches and seasonal trading strategies
- Manage day-to-day website performance on Shopify Plus
- Oversee site merchandising, content management, navigation and onsite search optimisation
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing strategies and market trends
- Analyse performance data to continuously test, learn and optimise digital performance
- Ensure marketing initiatives align with commercial objectives and ROI targets
- Present performance reports and insights to senior stakeholders
- Lead, manage and develop a team of 8
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, finance and customer service teams
- Manage external agencies and technology partners
