Community Facilitator - Empowerment Programs

About the Role

Our client is looking for an energetic and skilled Community Facilitator to drive empowerment programs in Vereeniging . This role focuses on designing, delivering, and managing initiatives aimed at enhancing community members' skills, knowledge, and opportunities. You will work directly with various community groups to foster self-reliance, social inclusion, and economic participation. This position offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to community development and to empower individuals to reach their full potential.

You will be an advocate for community growth and a catalyst for positive social change.

• Develop and deliver engaging workshops on topics such as financial literacy, small business development, and digital skills.
• Facilitate group discussions and activities to encourage community participation and collaboration.
• Identify community needs and tailor program content accordingly.
• Connect participants with relevant resources, opportunities, and support networks.
• Monitor program progress, collect feedback, and prepare reports on outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and local organizations.

• Degree or relevant qualification in Community Development, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience in facilitating adult learning programs or community-based initiatives.
• Strong understanding of community dynamics and empowerment strategies.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends as needed.
• Knowledge of the challenges and opportunities within the Vereeniging community.
