About the Role
Our client is seeking an energetic and inspiring Youth Development Officer to join their team in Vereeniging , Gauteng. This hybrid role involves significant community engagement and program delivery, balanced with remote planning and reporting responsibilities. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing programs aimed at empowering young people, fostering their skills, and promoting positive life choices. This is a pivotal role for someone passionate about youth empowerment and community development, looking to make a lasting impact in the Vereeniging area through innovative and engaging initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging programs focused on youth skill-building, leadership, and personal development.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and group activities for young people in the community.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to participants, supporting their personal and academic growth.
- Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and parents to create a supportive network for youth.
- Monitor program progress, collect data, and prepare reports on outcomes and impact.
- Manage program budgets and resources effectively, both in-person and remotely.
- A qualification in Social Work, Youth Development, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in youth work, program facilitation, or community development.
- Strong understanding of adolescent psychology and youth development principles.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage young people from diverse backgrounds and inspire positive change.
- Proficiency in digital tools for planning, communication, and reporting in a hybrid work setting.
