Enrolled Ward Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centred nursing care in accordance with SANC and hospital standards.
• Administer medication and monitor patient progress.
• Support doctors and registered nurses with procedures and treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure infection control and patient safety standards are upheld.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Assist with stock control and safe handling of equipment and medication.
• Participate in ward handovers and quality improvement initiatives.

• Current SANC registration.
• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in a clinical ward environment.
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and flexible shifts.
