Overview
NHS Grampian is looking for motivated and enthusiastic midwives to join our Maternity Service, providing high-quality, person-centred care in line with our organisational values. We have a range of opportunities available, including full-time and part-time posts, as well as permanent and temporary roles. Applications are welcomed from both experienced midwives (Band
6) and newly graduated midwives (band
5).
- Work as part of supportive, busy, and welcoming teams caring for women, birthing people and families with a wide range of health and social care needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues across maternity services and with wider health and care partners to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.
- Support newly graduated midwives through structured development and preceptorship programmes, including Flying Start and NHS Grampian Flying Start Development Days.
Newly graduated midwives will be supported across inpatient, outpatient and community settings, consolidating learning and building confidence, competence and professional growth. This broad experience will also prepare them for new ways of working as services continue to develop ahead of the move to the Baird Family Hospital and the progression of Continuity of Carer teams.
Interview DetailsInterviews will take place at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital on 13th August 2026.
