About the Role

Our client, a reputable hospital in Vereeniging , is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join their General Ward team. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will be responsible for creating a supportive and healing environment for patients recovering from various medical conditions.

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress, reporting any changes to the medical team promptly.
• Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in general ward nursing or a related clinical setting.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
