Field Guide

A well-established safari lodge located within a renowned Big 5 reserve in Limpopo is seeking a passionate and professional Field Guide to deliver exceptional wildlife experiences to guests. This role suits a knowledgeable guide with strong interpretive skills, a guest-centric mindset, and a deep respect for conservation and the natural environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct informative and engaging game drives in a Big 5 environment
• Interpret wildlife behaviour, ecology, tracks, and signs for guests
• Ensure guest safety and comfort at all times during activities
• Deliver high levels of hospitality and professional guest interaction
• Assist with vehicle maintenance, sightings logs, and radio communication
• Support conservation initiatives and adhere to reserve operating standards
• Work closely with lodge and guiding teams to ensure smooth daily operations

• Valid Nature Site Guide qualification (NQF Level 2 or higher)
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
• Valid First Aid certification
• Proven experience guiding in a Big 5 reserve preferred
• Solid knowledge of South African wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation principles
• Confident vehicle handling and bush navigation skills
