About the Role
Our client is looking for an accomplished Senior Analytical Chemist to lead their pharmaceutical analysis efforts in Benoni . This position is crucial for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of pharmaceutical products through rigorous analytical testing. You will be responsible for developing, validating, and implementing analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience with a variety of analytical instrumentation and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements within the pharmaceutical industry, contributing to a culture of quality and scientific integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and validate analytical methods for drug substances and drug products using techniques like HPLC, GC, and MS.
- Perform routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to established protocols.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments, ensuring proper calibration and performance.
- Analyze and interpret complex analytical data, troubleshoot method issues, and document results.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Mentor junior chemists and contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory operations.
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical chemistry within the pharmaceutical industry .
- Extensive hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR , and Mass Spectrometry.
- Proficiency in method development and validation according to ICH guidelines.
- Strong understanding of GMP regulations and quality control principles.
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
