Quality Technician

JOB TYPE: Full-Time (In Office)
LOCATION: South Africa, Somerset West REPORT TO: Head of Quality

The Quality Technician’s role is to provide support to the quality assurance team regarding the implementation and maintenance of quality standards. This person will also be responsible to ensure that internal manufacturing processes are adhered to.

• Review and approve documents
• Review Build History Documents
• Validate test results and approve Test Reports
• Perform investigations regarding improvements in the production/testing of NSS products
• Assist with the training and assessment of production personnel against prescribed work standards
• Report and communication of non-conforming products, processes and materials
• Maintaining compliance with the regulations and stipulations of ISO 9001
• Ensure that all quality targets, throughout the manufacturing process are in accordance with the customer requirements
• Identify root cause and implement corrective actions (RCCA)
• Assist with the commissioning of test equipment and test jigs
• Assist with supplier development
• Assist with Internal and supplier audits
• Witnessing of tests – Verify product testing process against required standards
• Perform QA clearance

Qualification:

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Quality, Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics OR
• ISO 9001/AS 9100 Quality Management (preferable)

Experience & Knowledge:

• >1 year of Quality Assurance working experience (preferably aerospace or defence)
• MS Office experience
• QMS maintenance
