AXXIS Support Technician - Surface

Overview

The purpose of this job is to ensure the consistent quality and regulatory compliance of AXXIS products through rigorous testing, certification, and analysis. The role supports product integrity by monitoring quality control systems, investigating client complaints, and managing certification processes in line with ARP 1717 standards.

• Matric / Grade 12
• Certificate in Quality Management Systems
• Degree or diploma in Electronics Engineering (
  Advantageous
  )

• 10 years demonstrated experience in electronic blasting systems quality management
• Previous experience in supervising employees
• Previous responsibility for managing costs.

Quality Control:

• To monitor the performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
• To conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods or stability samples to ensure that quality and product standards are maintained/enhanced, and to draw samples from the production line every month and test to verify against standards. This includes cable strength, pull-out strength, detonator bending strength, pressure resistance
• To effectively carry out all client complaint investigations, and to communicate quality control information (i.e. non-conformities) to all relevant stakeholders

Certification:

• Assist with certifying all AXXIS products to the ARP 1717 regulations
• Manage and execute certification tests with third parties
• Arrange test facilities as well as final test reports
• To compile laboratory test data and perform appropriate analyses to monitor the product output and continuously improve product capabilities
• Review and provide assistance for technical items needed for changes to certified products (CCPs)
