* Minimum requirements:

***** Grade 12 (essential)
* Diploma in Food Technology or related qualification (advantageous)
* 1–3 years' experience within the meat or food manufacturing industry
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, verification, and quality focus
* Reliable transport and the ability to commute to the workplace

Key Responsibilities  
* Supervise and manage the QC team, including scheduling and daily activities.
* Monitor product quality and compliance with food safety standards.
* Conduct plant inspections, internal audits, pre-operational inspections, and verification checks.
* Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and implement corrective actions.
* Compile quality reports, KPI feedback, and investigation reports.
* Assist with technical trials, product development projects, and staff training.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, PPE, SHEQ, and Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
* Provide support to the Quality Technologist and Quality Manager as required.
* Be available to work weekends and public holidays when operationally required.
