A manufacturer / supplier of equipment, accessories and consumables is seeking a Quality Control Inspector Trainee.

Under the general direction of the QC Supervisor, performing quality control functions in conjunction with assisting in the implementation of Safety, Health and Environmental Systems and procedures.
Position objective is to assist in the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management System within the company.


Qualifications and

Experience:

- Grade 12
- Appropriate QC Certification / Quality Control /
Internal Auditing and work experience - advantageous
- ISO 9001 Implementation / Awareness / Auditing
- TQMS Diploma - advantageous
- Driver’s License
- Role involves physically demanding duties, including the
regular lifting and handling of heavy equipment.

Minimum Experience

Required:

- 2 Years’ Experience
- Experience in the use of various inspection, measuring and
testing equipment, e.g. verniers, micrometres,
height gauge, Go-No-Go gauges, thread gauges, depth
gauges, etc.

1.1 Quality control checking of in-coming goods new.
2.2 Actively assist immediate supervisor and manager in writing and implementing work instructions in line with QMS.
2.3 Quality control of incoming / inter-process and dispatch of Radioactive containers.
2.4 Quality control checking of equipment repaired / serviced / calibrated in the Mechanical and Electronic workshops.
2.5 Issuing certificates of calibration and conformance new / repair product.
2.6 Filing and administration of Quality Management records.
2.7 Dangerous goods packing.
2.8 Assist to Perform weekly stock takes in Radiation store.
2.9 Generating non-conformance and / or corrective / preventative action reports.
2.10 Dimensional quality control checking of incoming goods new.
2.11 Perform Quality control on production parts/sub-assembly/completed product.
2.12 Manage engraving/powder coating functions of raw items /semi-completed received.
2.13 Perform Quality control of Link-type and disposable type source assembly.
2.14 Perform SAP receipt of goods, transfer of goods to Stores/dispatch, external manufacturing to 3rd parties and failed items to QC quarantine.
2.15 Ensure that pre-packing is done as per stores requirement.
2.16 Perform receipt of goods.
2.17 Monthly review of quarantine/failed items to be scrapped.
