HSE Officer

About the Role

Our client requires a vigilant and dedicated HSE Officer to ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance within their operations in Klerksdorp . This role is essential for implementing and maintaining robust HSE policies and procedures across all sites, conducting regular audits, and promoting a strong safety culture among all employees and contractors. You will be instrumental in minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements in the North West province.

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
• Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all local and national environmental regulations and permits.

• Relevant certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, SAMTRAC).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HSE Officer in the oil and gas or related industrial sector.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication, training, and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
