Chemical Engineer - Quality Assurance

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and quality-focused Chemical Engineer to join their Quality Assurance team in Benoni . This role is integral to ensuring that all manufactured chemical products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will be involved in developing and implementing quality control procedures, analyzing product data, and troubleshooting quality deviations. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of chemical processes, and a commitment to upholding the highest levels of product integrity and consistency.

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures for chemical production.
• Perform routine analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Investigate product quality deviations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with production and R&D teams to address quality-related issues.
• Prepare and review quality documentation, including batch records and certificates of analysis.

• B.Sc. or
  
  B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering or a related science.
• 3+ years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the chemical industry.
• Proficiency with analytical laboratory equipment and quality testing methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO, or other relevant quality management systems.
• Excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-functional teamwork.
