Senior Industrial Engineer - Quality Systems

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Industrial Engineer with specialized expertise in quality systems to join their operations in Nelspruit . This critical role will focus on developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality management systems to ensure product consistency and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with manufacturing, R&D, and quality assurance teams to integrate quality principles into every stage of the production process.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering, a passion for driving excellence, and the ability to lead initiatives that uphold the highest standards of product integrity for our client's offerings in the Mpumalanga region.

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Lead root cause analysis for quality defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring issues.
• Design and conduct quality audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement statistical process control (SPC) programs to monitor and control manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate quality considerations into new product development and process design.
• Train personnel on quality procedures, standards, and best practices to foster a quality-focused culture.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial engineering , with at least 3 years focused on quality systems and management.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience with statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
