Universität Hamburg—University of Excellence seeks a doctoral researcher for the SICSS cluster to study soil carbon dynamics in Southern Africa. You will design field surveys, conduct incubation experiments, analyze biocrust C-pools, and publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
Strong background in Geosciences and isotope geochemistry, plus collaboration in interdisciplinary teams, are essential. German/English communication skills are required and driving is preferred.
