As Trait Integration Graduate you will be responsible for supporting and assisting on all trait conversion activities. This role encompasses greenhouse and field nursery operations with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and innovation. The successful candidate will be a proactive, hands-on contributor with a passion for crop production and a commitment to operational excellence to deliver quality results.
Responsibilities- Perform day-to-day tasks in growth chambers and greenhouses
- Collect and record high-quality data
- Assist research staff with ongoing projects
- Manage an independent research project and present findings to the intern group
- Travel to other nursery sites across RSA regions as needed
- Work overtime, weekends, and public holidays during peak periods
- BAgric, BSc Hon or MSc in Agriculture (Entomology, Integrated Pest Management, Plant sciences, Plant Physiology, Agronomy or a combination of these relevant fields)
