About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Research Scientist in Analytical Chemistry to join their innovative team in Benoni . This role is essential for developing and validating sophisticated analytical methods to support various research and quality control initiatives. You will work with advanced instrumentation and contribute to the accurate characterization of complex samples. Key Responsibilities- Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for diverse sample matrices.
- Operate and maintain sophisticated analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, MS, and spectroscopy.
- Analyze samples, interpret data, and generate comprehensive technical reports.
- Troubleshoot analytical methods and instrumentation issues.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to provide critical analytical support for product development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical method development and validation.
- Expertise with a range of analytical techniques including chromatography (HPLC, GC) and mass spectrometry (MS).
- Strong understanding of spectroscopy (UV-Vis, IR, NMR) and wet chemistry techniques.
- Excellent data interpretation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, communicating clearly with on-site and remote colleagues.
