About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Research Associate with a strong background in Molecular Biology to join their expanding research and development team in Vereeniging . This role is critical for supporting ongoing research projects focused on developing innovative solutions in the life sciences sector. You will perform a variety of laboratory experiments, analyze results, and contribute to the overall scientific direction of the team.

- Perform routine and advanced molecular biology techniques, including PCR, cloning, Western blotting, and cell culture.
- Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and investigate biological mechanisms.
- Analyze experimental data using appropriate software and contribute to the interpretation of results.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks and records.
- Collaborate with senior scientists and researchers to achieve project goals.
- Assist in the preparation of research reports, presentations, and scientific publications.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science discipline.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant laboratory experience in an academic or industry setting.
- Proficiency in core molecular biology techniques.
- Experience with data analysis and scientific documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
