Our client is seeking a dedicated and innovative Research Associate to join their pioneering Materials Science research group in Welkom . This role focuses on the development and characterization of novel materials for advanced applications. - Synthesize and process new material samples according to established or developed procedures.
- Characterize material properties using techniques such as SEM, XRD, DSC, and mechanical testing.
- Conduct literature reviews to stay informed on the latest advancements in materials science.
- Analyze experimental data, document findings, and contribute to technical reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with senior scientists and engineers on research projects and problem-solving.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a safe working environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a materials science research laboratory.
- Familiarity with common materials characterization techniques (e.g., microscopy, spectroscopy).
- Ability to conduct experiments independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities for reporting and collaboration.
