Senior Research Scientist - Analytical Chemistry

Our client seeks an experienced Senior Research Scientist specializing in Analytical Chemistry for their advanced R&D facility in Vereeniging. This leadership role will focus on developing and validating sophisticated analytical methods to support the characterization and quality control of novel materials and chemical products. You will oversee a team of analytical chemists, manage state-of-the-art instrumentation, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of experimental results.

• Develop, validate, and implement advanced analytical methods using techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-MS, and NMR.
• Lead a team of analytical chemists, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Operate and maintain sophisticated analytical instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot analytical challenges and resolve complex instrumentation issues.
• Interpret analytical data, author technical reports, and present findings to R&D and management teams.

• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in analytical method development and validation.
