Chemical Engineer - Research and Development

Our client is looking for a creative and analytical Chemical Engineer to join their dedicated Research and Development team in Nelspruit . This role is centered on innovating new products and processes, from initial concept and laboratory experimentation through to pilot-scale trials. You will be instrumental in advancing our client's technological capabilities and developing solutions that meet future market demands. • Conduct laboratory experiments to explore new chemical reactions, formulations, and process technologies.
• Design and execute pilot plant studies to validate process feasibility and gather scale-up data.
• Analyze experimental results using statistical methods and provide detailed reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment and successful product launch.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and scientific literature relevant to product and process innovation.
• Troubleshoot issues encountered during experimental and pilot-scale work.

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in R&D, process development, or a related technical role.
• Proven experience in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific reporting.
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques and pilot plant operations.
• Strong knowledge of fundamental chemical engineering principles and thermodynamics.
