Location: Somerset West
Somerset West - Do you have a sparkle for sales and administration, and a fascination with gold, diamonds, and all things that shine? Then this one is for you! The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, all sales activities and related administration, ranging from welcoming customers, offering beverages, answering the telephone, assisting the Director, GM and Manager, professionally liaising with clients, purchasing and selling items and providing accurate product information.
Responsibilities- Managing the shop to ensure that all tasks are completed within time and to the highest standard
- Building and maintaining long term customer relationships by being approachable and friendly, and by providing accurate product information
- Upholding the company’s brand, values and ethics at all times
- Prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and projects of all kinds
- Providing administrative support and reporting directly to the Manager
- Managing and reconciling transactions in Xero
- Purchasing, testing and selling precious metals, bullion and diamonds
- Managing Petty Cash
- Maintaining daily stock sheets and end-of-day cash-ups
- Doing adjustments of all purchased items when needed
- Ensuring the store upholds brand expectations and standards, and is presentable, immaculate and customer ready at all times
- Driving sales to increase profitability and customer bases, by initiating marketing ideas and brand promotions – always striving to achieve monthly targets for the entire team
- Ensuring stock inventory and Petty Cash on POS is correct, and that all sales and purchase documents are uploaded along with all the required supporting documents
- Diligently verifying all clients as prescribed by the company’s RMCP
- Timeously attending to social media leads, as well as queries, and following up in a friendly and professional manner

- Being accountable for mistakes
- Excellent people and management skills
- Shared values with both the Director, GM and Manager, and able to reflect this demeanor with external parties to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Afrikaans and English

- Must be able to work Saturdays from 09:00 – 13:00
- Minimum Grade 12 with Mathematics
- Retail sales background (luxury goods or jewellery preferred)
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
