The General Assistant plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily store operations. The successful candidate will assist customers, support merchandising activities, maintain housekeeping standards, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This role requires commitment, teamwork, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

• Assist customers with product enquiries and provide accurate information.
• Deliver professional and friendly customer service at all times.
• Handle customer queries and concerns efficiently.
• Pack shelves according to merchandising standards.
• Ensure correct pricing and product labelling.
• Keep displays neat and well-stocked.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment.
• Ensure aisles, shelves, and work areas are free from hazards.
• Follow daily housekeeping procedures.

• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety standards.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of stock.
• Report safety risks or hazards to management.

• Assist with stock management and monitoring.
• Report damaged or missing stock.
• Support initiatives aimed at reducing stock losses.

• Grade 10 (NQF Level
  3) with at least one year of relevant experience, or
• Grade 12 (Matric) with no previous experience required.

• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

• Valid South African  valid work permit.
