Minimum Education Level: Grade 12 | National Certificate

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum education level of Grade 12 or equivalent NQF qualification.
  • Basic selling skills with the ability to promote loyalty programs and services.
  • Strong customer service orientation, demonstrating friendliness and effective communication.
  • Ability to accurately process till transactions and handle various payment methods.
  • Attention to detail to ensure pricing accuracy and maintain store standards.
  • Effective organisational skills to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly till point.
  • Reliable and honest, with a commitment to reducing shrinkage and reporting irregularities.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage time effectively during shifts.
  • Basic product knowledge to assist customers and support promotional events.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and a willingness to be a proactive team member.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly, ensuring a positive and friendly shopping experience at all till points.
  • Accurately process all till transactions in accordance with company policies, including various payment methods.
  • Promote Woolworths loyalty programs and additional services such as utility bill payments and airtime sales.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised till area adhering to all shopkeeping disciplines.
  • Ensure pricing accuracy by carefully checking scanned items against shelf tickets and resolving discrepancies.
  • Minimise shrinkage by adhering to loss prevention procedures and promptly reporting any irregularities or suspicious activity.
  • Demonstrate basic product knowledge to assist customers and support promotional events and special store campaigns.
  • Remain calm and efficient under pressure, managing time effectively during busy periods to maintain smooth operations.
  • Exhibit honesty, reliability, and professionalism in all interactions, while contributing positively to a supportive team environment.
  • Attend team meetings and comply with company policies regarding attendance, dress code, and hygiene standards.
