TWK Agri has the following vacancy available:
Nursery Co‑ordinator within Welverdiend at Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.
This role is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the nursery by managing stock control, sales activities, financial administration, supplier relationships, and staff performance. The incumbent will ensure efficient nursery operations, excellent customer service, and the maintenance of quality standards while supporting the profitable growth of the business.
Responsibilities and Duties- Work with the Manager to plan, coordinate and manage nursery activities to improve operational efficiency
- Identify and report potential operational risks to the Manager
- Coordinate inventory control processes to prevent stock shortages and overstocking
- Assist in controlling operational costs while maintaining quality standards
- Compile, maintain and reconcile stock records accurately
- Conduct stock counts and investigate stock variances
- Coordinate ordering, receiving and control of nursery stock and related products
- Support sales growth through effective merchandising, promotions and customer service initiatives
- Assist with the marketing and promotion of nursery products and services
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers
- Supervise and coordinate staff activities, workloads and performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Relevant qualification in Horticulture, Retail Management, Business Administration or a related field (advantageous)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a nursery, retail or horticultural environment
- Knowledge of nursery products, plant care and stock management principles
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Good financial administration and stock control abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to supervise staff and manage daily operations effectively
- Customer service orientated
- Ability to work accurately, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Valid driver's license (Code 08)
