Stock Controller

Location: Hout Bay

Boutique Hotel based in Hout Bay is looking for a Stock Controller.

Duties:

Receive and inspect stock deliveries for accuracy and quality.
Allocate, store, and pack stock in designated locations.
Issue stock to relevant departments or personnel as needed.
Enter transfers and invoices into the ERP or similar inventory control system.
Assist with stock variance checks and conduct spot checks for stock counts.
Perform and capture 10-day and 20-day stock takes.
Maintain temperature logs for fridges and freezers to ensure compliance with standards.
Spot check supplier vehicle temperatures and cleanliness upon delivery.
Keep bulk storage areas neat, clean, and organized.

Requirements:

Grade 12
A formal qualification will be an advantage
At least 2 – 4 years’ experience in a similar position
Basic knowledge of food, food ingredients, beverages and other hotel supplies
Familiarity with categories such as packaging, cleaning supplies, wine, and liquor.
Proficiency in ERP or similar inventory control systems.
Strong understanding of food hygiene and food safety practices.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to move and handle heavy items.
Capability to transport stock cages and high-volume deliveries
