Stockroom Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for an efficient and organized Stockroom Supervisor to manage inventory and operations within the stockroom of their retail store in Vereeniging . This role is critical for ensuring accurate inventory counts, efficient stock flow, and maintaining a safe and organized storage environment. You will lead a small team, overseeing the receiving, storing, and distribution of merchandise to the sales floor, directly impacting the availability of products for customers.

The ideal candidate is meticulous, has a strong understanding of inventory management principles, and excels at leading operational teams.

• Oversee all stockroom activities, including receiving, organizing, storing, and dispatching merchandise.
• Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Lead and train stockroom team members, ensuring adherence to procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the stockroom.
• Coordinate with sales floor staff to ensure timely replenishment of merchandise and efficient stock rotation.
• Implement and improve stockroom processes to maximize efficiency and minimize errors.

• Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or stockroom supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a small operational team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing stock.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to a stockroom environment.
