About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and results-driven Senior Mortgage Originator to join their team in Soweto . This role is responsible for generating new mortgage loan business by developing relationships with potential clients, real estate agents, and builders. You will guide borrowers through the mortgage application process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience. The ideal candidate possesses excellent sales skills, a strong understanding of mortgage products, and a commitment to ethical lending practices.

- Proactively generate new mortgage loan leads through networking, prospecting, and client referrals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, brokers, and other referral sources.
- Guide potential borrowers through the entire mortgage application process, from initial inquiry to closing.
- Analyze borrower financial situations and recommend appropriate mortgage products.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state lending regulations and company policies.
- Meet and exceed established loan origination goals and sales targets.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
Bachelor's degree preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage origination or sales.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a commission-based environment.
- In-depth knowledge of various mortgage products (e.g., fixed-rate, adjustable-rate, government-backed loans).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and sales skills.
- Must hold relevant licensing as required by financial regulatory bodies.
