Field Sales Representative

About the Role

Our client, a leading distributor in the FMCG sector, is seeking a motivated Field Sales Representative to join their team in Kimberley. This role is focused on driving sales by building and maintaining relationships with retail clients, introducing new products, and ensuring product availability on shelves. You will be the face of the company to its customers, playing a crucial role in achieving regional sales targets.

This is a field-based position requiring regular travel within the assigned territory.

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for FMCG products in the Kimberley territory.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with retail store managers and owners, acting as a primary point of contact.
• Promote and sell a wide range of products, introducing new items and managing product assortments on shelves.
• Ensure optimal product visibility and placement within retail environments, implementing merchandising plans.
• Gather market intelligence, competitor information, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
• Process orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of sales principles and retail operations.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel regularly within the assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
