Internal Sales Person – Electrical & Pumps

An established technical solutions provider servicing the mining, water and wastewater, power generation and industrial sectors is looking for an experienced Internal Sales Person – Electrical & Pumps to join its team in Emalahleni.

The company supplies and supports a broad range of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, instrumentation, pump and valve solutions and offers customers access to OEM-quality products, specialised technical support, testing, repairs and integrated project solutions.

This is a highly technical internal sales position requiring someone who can confidently understand customer applications, recommend the correct equipment, prepare accurate technical quotations and convert enquiries into business.

The successful candidate will manage internal sales enquiries and provide technical and commercial support across the company's electrical and pump product ranges
.

You will work closely with customers, external sales representatives, project teams, suppliers and OEM partners to develop appropriate technical solutions for mining and industrial applications.

This is not a general sales or order-processing position
. Candidates must have substantial technical knowledge of both electrical equipment and submersible pumps and be able to apply that knowledge commercially.

• Manage incoming technical sales enquiries from existing and prospective customers.
• Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Prepare accurate, detailed and commercially competitive quotations.
• Provide technical support across electrical and pump product ranges.
• Size and select electrical equipment according to customer and application requirements.
• Size and select submersible pumps for mining, industrial, water and wastewater applications.
• Advise customers on product specifications, suitability and application.
• Support external sales representatives with technical information, quotations and product selection.
• Work closely with project teams on technical and commercial requirements.
• Liaise with OEMs and suppliers regarding specifications, pricing, availability and technical requirements.
• Proactively follow up quotations and outstanding enquiries.
• Convert technical enquiries and quotations into confirmed orders.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mining and industrial customers.
• Ensure all product selections and quotations are technically accurate and commercially viable.
• Keep up to date with relevant products, technologies and OEM developments.

Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years' relevant electrical experience
, with strong practical knowledge of:

• Low Voltage (LV) systems
• Medium Voltage (MV) systems
• MCC panels
• Circuit breaker sizing and selection
• Surge protection
• Switchgear
• Electrical product selection
• Technical interpretation of customer requirements

Experience with
Eaton products is strongly preferred.

Strong experience with Schneider Electric, ABB and/or Siemens products will also be highly regarded.

Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience with submersible pumps
.

You must be able to demonstrate practical experience in:

• Pump sizing
• Pump selection
• Understanding flow, head and application requirements
• Selecting suitable pumps for customer applications
• Providing technical pump advice
• Supporting mining and industrial pump applications
