Reservations Manager​/Sales Consultant - Luxury Wellness Retreat - Franschhoek | Sl

Kendrick Recruitment is searching for a warm, articulate and detail-driven Reservations Manager with a sales edge for an intimate luxury wellness retreat set within a working farm in the heart of the Franschhoek valley - a deeply restorative property welcoming guests on curated multi-night journeys of rest, creativity and connection. This is not a standard hotel reservations role. Guests who enquire about this property are seeking something deeply personal.

The person in this role needs to understand that, communicate it with authenticity and guide prospective guests from first enquiry through to confirmed booking with warmth, knowledge and genuine care. The role is 80% reservations management and 20% sales - including trade outreach, agent relationship building and support for the property's broader commercial visibility in the wellness tourism market.

Candidates based in Franschhoek or the broader Cape Winelands area are strongly preferred. This is a live-out position. A genuine affinity for wellness, conscious living and boutique hospitality is essential.

• Minimum 2 to 3 years' reservations management or luxury travel sales experience - essential
• Experience with in a boutique hotel, wellness retreat, luxury lodge or high-end travel environment strongly preferred
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills - essential
• Warm; consultative and emotionally intelligent communication style
• Genuine interest in and alignment with wellness tourism and conscious hospitality - essential
• Ability to have meaningful, personalised conversations with discerning international guests
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail and follow-through
• Experience with PMS, channel manager or booking systems
• Sales experience including trade outreach and travel agent relationship management
• Additional languages advantageous given the international guest profile
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Office
• Stable work history with contactable references

• Reservations (80%)
  • Manage all incoming enquiries via email, phone and online platforms promptly and professionally
  • Guide prospective guests through the property's unique offering and help them select the right experience
  • Process all bookings, confirmations, amendments and cancellations accurately
  • Manage availability, rates and allocations across all booking channels
  • Handle all pre-arrival guest communication and prepare personalised guest information
  • Capture and maintain accurate guest profiles and special requirements
  • Liaise with the property team on guest arrivals, preferences and bespoke experience planning
  • Manage invoicing, payment follow-up and financial administration related to reservations
• Sales & Trade Relations (20%)
  • Develop and nurture relationships with travel agents, wellness travel specialists, tour operators and DMCs
  • Proactively reach out to trade partners to promote the property and its offering
  • Represent the property at relevant trade events and wellness tourism platforms when required
  • Support the team with promotional initiatives, packages and seasonal campaigns

• Gross Salary: R35,000 per month
